Dr. Derek Schuelein, is an educational and business leader with more than 18 years of experience across school administration, human resources, organizational leadership, and school business operations. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of people, resources, and strategy—leading recruitment and talent development, labor relations, professional learning, budgeting, staffing, and organizational improvement.
Having served as a teacher, building administrator, superintendent, and central-office leader, Derek brings a broad perspective on the systems that allow schools to thrive. He is particularly passionate about developing talented educators and leaders, building sustainable organizations, and ensuring that resources and policies translate into meaningful opportunities for students. His leadership philosophy is grounded in a simple principle: stronger systems and supported educators create greater access, opportunity, and success for every student.
In addition to being a passionate, child-focused educator, Derek is the proud father of three boys.
